3D Merging

Taking pre-existing data sets and making a seismic masterpieces

Merging independently shot 3Ds is a great way to expand our knowledge of the subsurface over a larger area while saving time and money on shooting new 3Ds. Smooth transitions between the data sets is ensured through bin extensions, phase rotation, amplitude matching and remapping of velocities. Where project orientation or fold coverage suffers, 5D interpolation can be used to improve the merged data sets.
