Signal amplitude versus offset (AVO) analysis can provide valuable information about the geological properties of a target zone but this information is easily lost if the wrong work flow, algorithms or parameters are used during data processing. Ensuring key steps, such as trace scaling, deconvolution, noise attenuation and statics are surface consistent helps to preserve the AVO relationships through to the final products. Our AVO work flows include quality control measures to monitor AVO responses at each stage. We are also able to produce post-PSTM products to aid in AVO interpretations. These include angle gathers, angle stacks, gradient, intercept and difference stacks and AVAZ analysis.
